About the Centre

The Lawrence O'Brien Arts Centre is located in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador and is operated by the Eastern Labrador Arts Alliance under the guidelines of a written lease agreement with the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

The O'Brien Arts Centre opened its doors to the public on September 25, 2009. This marked the culmination of many years of hard work by a vibrant group of arts supporters who rallied the support of the community and government agencies, following the closure of Goose High School and its auditorium in 2003. The O'Brien Arts Centre is a vital addition to the cultural, educational and economic fibre of eastern Labrador.
